RON (Remote Online Notary)

Silicon Title has set a goal to be the world's most technologically advaced title agency.  Effective January 1, 2020, a new Florida allows for what is called remote online notarization (RON) that allows you to close on certain Florida properties from the comfort of your own home.

RON closings are still eligible for Silicon Title rebates

It really IS the future when technology will eliminate the need for all parties to a Florida property transaction all need to gather in the same conference room at the same date and time simply to execute documents.  Now you can close on your property online using your computer or smart phone so long as the property transaction is an all-cash deal (no mortgages yet, sorry!)

Is it still secure?

Goodness, yes!  The technology is similar to what is used to validate your travel documents at airports.  Speaking of airports, you can literally be traveling for work or vacationing in another state and have your transaction closed and notarized online.

Note that RON closings do not necessarily work as well for clients traveling overseas, as that will require the use of an International Civil Law Notary to travel to the client and take wet-ink signature.

Either way, the notary will be present regardless of whether or not you are in the State of Florida to confirm that you are who you say you are and that you executed the documents of your own free will.

Still not sure about RON?

All you have to do is apply by booking a complimentary 15 minute call to verify who you are and a few details about the property that you are looking to sell.  The call is no obligation, but will probably be educational and maybe even a little bit entertaining.  We look forward to the chat!
